Beyond the Classroom is a personal technology-mentoring site for educators in the K - 8 classroom. Its purpose is to support teachers as they integrate technology into their classrooms. Traditionally, this was accomplished by face-to-face conferencing and professional development meetings.

Beyond the Classroom takes mentoring a step further and offers continuous support within a web-based community. The technology mentors for this site are all educators, with experience in integrating technology into the classroom.

There is no fee to join Beyond the Classroom, we are simply a community of teachers willing to share ideas. Once you sign in you will find a teacher discussion area where everyone is welcome to participate, a personal question/answer area with a mentor and basic tutorials of some of the software used in the schools.
